A Serbian transplant to Berlin, Germany, Gordana Pavlovic integrates art with her therapy practice.

I am interested in creativity through art of any kind because the creative process is a means of expression and a symbolic means of communication through the expression of one’s individuality.

Gordana, What Started You on Your Creative Path?

The work that is behind me, from the great energy I have when I work with people when I do what I love and what I want. First of all, it brought me to a high level of self-knowledge, that is, to an awareness of my possibilities and abilities. From every environment, I draw the energy necessary for an adequate approach to the given task, and at the same time, I approach solving it with several possible options.

I consider myself to be a creative person and artistically minded, and I express my traits through painting and creative works. What characterizes me is my desire and willingness to learn new things and to constantly work on developing my abilities and broadening my horizons. I would describe myself as communicative and a positive person, and regardless of all the circumstances, I don’t give up and keep going because when one door closes, another one opens.

First of all, I believe that effort and work always bear fruit in the end, and I am guided by this maxim throughout life.

I like to work with people similar to me, those who love and want to work, learn and progress. They come up with new and innovative ideas and also consider all possibilities. I have an art therapist certificate because I like to work in a dynamic environment and with different profiles of people. During my studies as an art therapist, I performed several different professional practices where I gained new skills and knowledge, and also met many new and interesting people.

How Did You Develop Your Style?

Following other artists and their work techniques, I was looking for what was most accessible to me and what I was best at.

What Mediums Do You Prefer?

In the case of mixed media, the rule should be followed that paint prepared with another binder should only be applied to a dry layer of paint prepared with one type of binder.

It is more logical to use acrylic paints that dry quickly for underpainting and continue with other techniques (oil on acrylic, watercolor on acrylic). Acrylic and pastel can be combined.

The drawing is applied with pastel, fixed with matte acrylic medium, continues to draw wet, and later dry

Where Can Your Works Be Found?

In Berlin, Germany.

What Else Are You Up To?

I intend to meet new people, new techniques, maybe combine the incompatible. Present a lot of new works, and if possible work on selling them.

What Are Your Goals within the ETChster Community?

Every artist is fighting for his status in society, but when it comes to the global position of art, and if many think and consider it to be outdated, I think differently and believe that there are still people who appreciate handwork.

I think that this community is the right place where we can all find each other and offer our works to someone who knows how to appreciate the effort, work, and love that is transferred to our works.

What Are Your Goals within the ETChster Community?

There are still people who love and respect the struggle of artists and individuals to change society. I am ready to cooperate with other members of this art community because I think we all have the same goal.

Eddie Davis

Back in 2018, Eddie decided there had to be a better way. He a baby on the way and a house full of original art from his ancestors. So he started building an art collecting app to catalog each piece and capture its story. And then he started buying (or trying to buy) original art in his home town of Atlanta, Georgia, United States and quickly discovered that nearly all artists had broken, out-of-date websites and made it nearly impossible to buy their work. So he connected his catalog app to a maintenance-free artist website. Somewhere in the middle, crypto NFTs exploded and then imploded, and the ETChster global community grew to ~15,000 artists and art collectors of all walks of life. Et cetera...
